Data Protection Mechanisms
We take the protection of Your data seriously. Here are the key data protection mechanisms we employ:
- Data Storage: All user-generated content and sensitive data remain stored in the user's own Google Drive. Our application does not store or host this data on our servers.
- Access Model: We use Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication and authorization. This means users grant our application specific, limited permissions to interact with their Google Drive data.
- Data Transit: When our application needs to access or modify user data, all communication happens directly between the user's browser and Google's servers using encrypted HTTPS connections.
- No Direct Data Handling: Our servers do not directly receive, process, or store the sensitive data from users' Google Drive accounts. We only receive access tokens that allow our application to perform authorized actions on behalf of the user.
- Token Security: We securely store and manage the OAuth access tokens in accordance with industry best practices to prevent unauthorized access.
- Google's Security: The data itself is protected by Google's robust security measures for Google Drive, which includes encryption at rest and in transit.
- Compliance: We adhere to Google's API Services User Data Policy and regularly review our practices to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Third-Party Services
Our Service relies on Google Drive for data storage and WhatsApp for OTP delivery. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for information on how they handle your data:
Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure of Google User Data
We want to clearly state our policy regarding the handling of Google user data:
- No Sharing: We do not share any Google user data with third parties. All user data remains within the user's Google Drive and is not accessible to external entities through our Service.
- No Transfer: We do not transfer Google user data to any other platforms or services. The data remains solely within the user's Google Drive account.
- No Disclosure: We do not disclose any Google user data to any individuals or organizations. The privacy and confidentiality of your data are of utmost importance to us.
Our application is designed to interact with your Google Drive data solely for the purpose of providing the Service's functionality. We do not have access to, control over, or rights to your Google user data beyond the specific, limited permissions you grant through Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol.
Retention and Deletion of Google User Data
We want to be transparent about how we handle the retention and deletion of Google user data:
- Data Storage: As previously stated, all user-generated content and data remain stored in the user's own Google Drive. We do not store this data on our servers.
- Data Retention: Since we do not store Google user data on our servers, we do not have a separate retention policy for this data. The data remains in your Google Drive account and is subject to Google's data retention policies.
- Access Tokens: We retain OAuth 2.0 access tokens, which allow our application to interact with your Google Drive, only for as long as necessary to provide our Service. These tokens are automatically refreshed or expire based on Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol.
- Data Deletion: As we do not store your Google user data, deletion of this data is controlled entirely by you through your Google account. You can delete your data at any time directly from your Google Drive.
- Revoking App Access: If you wish to stop using our Service, you can revoke our app's access to your Google Drive at any time through your Google Account settings. Once access is revoked, we will no longer be able to interact with your Google Drive data, and any associated access tokens will become invalid. This process does not affect the data in your Google Drive, which remains under your control.
You have full control over your Google user data and our app's access to it. Our Service is designed to interact with this data only as necessary to provide functionality, and we do not retain copies of your data beyond the temporary access required for immediate operations.
